Aftershock 2023 Packs Biggest Lineup To Date

Aftershock announces over 95 bands lighting up multiple stages featuring huge headliners and hot, new artists. This year, the annual rock festival takes place from October 5 to 8 at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California.

For sure, a stellar lineup with hard rock legends: Guns N’ Roses, Korn, Tool, and Avenged Sevenfold. No doubt, they will get a crowd headbanging all night long. Plus, a lineup with longtime hit-makers like Limp Bizkit, Incubus, and Pantera to young breakouts such as Bad Omens, Sleep Token, and Badflower.

Yet, the real draw for the GAIJIN GUYS are the overseas bands flying in from the East: BABYMETAL, The HU, and HANABIE. Of course, any chance to see BABYMETAL live is well worth the experience where Jpop blends magnificently with heavy metal. Correspondingly, we have highlighted BABYMETAL’s return to America with their autumn tour alongside Dethklok. Likewise, Dethklok, the unique metal group from Adult Swim’s animated TV series Metalocalypse, is also in the lineup.

Meanwhile, GAIJIN GUY Alan gets in the zone reacting to the dramatic and evocative heavy metal sounds of Avenged Sevenfold. He wraps up by breaking down the Life is But a Dream… album and shares his favorite song from A7X’s latest release.

Once again, the Aftershock festivities will be hosted by SiriusXM’s Jose “Metal Ambassador” Mangin. Flashback; this correspondent had an awesome interview with the host of Liquid Metal last year while covering Aftershock for JROCK NEWS.

Starting in 2012, the Aftershock Festival has been a hard rock and heavy metal event in Sacramento, CA. Past acts have included: Slipknot, Kiss, My Chemical Romance, Muse, Lamb of God, and Metallica. Certainly, it’s an event for rock fans to come together for good times, great memories, and badass music!
